Sophia Larsen is a Californian, a visual artist, an educator, and a thinker currently based in Detroit Michigan. She holds an MFA in Print Media from Cranbrook Academy of Art and continued her education at the Cornell School of Criticism and Theory. Her work utilizes new age aesthetics and the Californian Ideology to explore childhood, play, grief, and intimacy across drawing, print, and ceramics. Her practice plays with the relationship between image and object, memory and reality, feeling and believing. She is currently the Critical Studies Teaching fellow at Cranbrook Academy of Art.
